Shrimp Salad With A Yogurt Balsamic Vinaigrette

This is a great recipe for if you’re trying to cut corners on calories, but not flavor.  Instead of using Olive Oil in your dressing, substitute Low-Fat Plain Yogurt, using Mustard and Sriracha are Low Calorie and add spice to the mix.  It will keep your refreshed and full so you’re not missing the Olive Oil you could’ve been using



  • 1/4 Cup Low Fat Plain Vanilla Yogurt
  • 1/2 Tsp Sriracha
  • 1 1/2 Tsp Yellow Mustard
  • 1 Tbsp Balsamic Vinegar

Shrimp Salad

  • 1/2 Lb Shrimp
  • 2 Tsp Black Pepper
  • 2 Tsp Salt
  • 1 Clove Garlic
  • 2 Tsp Olive Oil
  • 1 Cup Romaine Lettuce Chopped
  • 1 Celery Stalk Diced
  • 2 Mini-Sweet Bell Peppers Diced
  • 5 Baby Carrots Sliced


  1. In a Bowl Mix the Dressing
  2. In another Bowl Combine your Chopped Veggies and Lettuce
  3. Season your Shrimps with Salt and Pepper
  4. Heat a Pan to Medium Heat
  5. Add Olive Oil
  6. Add Garlic, Stir for 1-2 Minutes
  7. Add Shrimps
  8. Cook for 3-5 Minutes, Stirring as needed until Shrimp are Opaque
  9. Remove from heat and Cut Shrimps in Half
  10. Combine the Salad and Dressing, Mix until Coated in Dressing
  11. Top with Shrimps
