Pork Glazed with a Strawberry Balsamic Vinaigrette Reduction

This is a lot simpler than it sounds. The sauce is tangy, sweet, and deep with a volume of flavors to it. The pork is tender and melts in your mouth. It’s an all around great dish.

Anyone trying to make a good impression of a first date should try this.  It’s easy, and delicious.  Also anything with Balsamic Vinegar sounds more special than it is, but it has such a deep rich flavor that it’s understandable why so many people love it.  This one’s really easy to do and very impressive.

  • 1/2 Cup Water
  • 1/4 – 1/2 Cup of cheap Balsamic Vinegar(You decide the level of vinegar bite you want to it, I used 1/3 of a cup
  • 2 Tsp Lemon Pepper
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 5 Fresh Strawberries
  • 2 Tbsp Strawberry Preserve
  • 2 Tsp Salt
  • 2 Tsp Pepper
  • 2 Tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 Tbsp Garlic
  • 4 Pork Chops
  • 1 Tbsp Butter

The Pork

  1. Pull out of the fridge, and cover with the Salt, Pepper, Lemon Pepper, Onion Powder, and 1 tsp of the Garlic
  2. Let Sit for 30 Minutes, or til close to room temperature
  3. Heat Medium Pan to Medium High Heat
  4. Add Pork to Pan
  5. Cook 3 Minutes until browned on seasoned side
  6. Cook 3 minutes on other side until browned
  7. Add a little water, enough to cover the bottom of the pan
  8. Cook for 2-3 more minutes
  9. Put Pork on a Plate
  10. Use a wooden spoon to scrape all of the pork that’s stuck to the pan into the water, thus making a little pork gravy
  11. As soon as you’ve cleared the bottom of the pan, set the pork gravy aside as it will be used in the sauce

The Sauce

  1. In a small sauce pan add Balsamic Vinegar, 1/2 cup Water, Worcestershire Sauce, and butter
  2. Bring to a Boil
  3. Reduce to Medium heat or Simmer, add Garlic, and Strawberry Preserve
  4. Stir until Preserve is Melted
  5. Bring Back to a Boil and Add the Strawberries and the drippings from the pork Pan
  6. Reduce to a Simmer for 5 minutes while the pork cools
  7. After the 5 minutes, set the sauce pan aside for 2 minutes and then serve on top of the pork (make sure to get strawberry chunks in there)

I guarantee this to be an incredible choice for cooking for a girlfriend, or lady friend of any kind.  It has a savory and sweet flavor that tastes amazing.  The strawberries that you would think to be overwhelming are actually subtle to the flavors of the Balsamic and Worcestershire.

If you let the glaze sit longer than 2 minutes it will get even thicker, if that’s what you’re looking for.  I made this for me and a few friends, it went over very well, and I hope you all enjoy.  As always, please leave comments, suggestions, or tips on things you would like to see, or things that could make this dish better.
