Green Tea Steak Teriyaki Stir Fry

My roommate came home with groceries and said make me something, this was the wonderous dish that was created.  It was real easy to decide on what to make when he pulled out strip steak for stir fry, and from there I went crazy.

  • 1/2 Lb Stir Fry Strips of Steak
  • 2 Stalks Celery
  • 8 Button Mushroom Cups
  • 1/2 Can Water Chestnuts Chopped
  • 1/2 Cucumber Sliced into Matchsticks
  • 1/4 Red Onion Sliced
  • 1/3 Cup Teriyaki Sauce
  • 1/4 Cup Soy Sauce
  • 1/2 Cup Green Tea
  • 2 Tsp Ground Mustard
  • 2 Tsp Black Pepper
  • 2 Tsp Ground Garlic
  • 2 Green Tea Packets
  • 2 Tbsp Olive Oil

All that was left after cooking!

  1. Pour the Teriyaki Sauce on your Steak Strips
  2. Chop your Celery, Quarter your Mushrooms, Slice your Onion, Matchstick your Cucumber, and Chop your Water Chestnuts
  3. Heat your water and make your green tea
  4. Heat a Wok or Large Saute Pan to Medium High Heat
  5. Add Oil
  6. Add Veggies
  7. Heat a separate Medium Pan to Medium High
  8. Add Oil
  9. Add Steak (just the steak, reserve the sauce)
  10. Stir your veggies
  11. Stir your Meat
  12. When your meat gets a little caramelized throw it on the veggies and add the rest of the Sauce to the empty pan
  13. Add the Soy Sauce and Green Tea to the pan
  14. Reduce by 1/4
  15. Cook the Veggies about 10 Minutes
  16. Pour the Sauce on the Veggies/Beef
  17. Stir and Simmer for 5-7 Minutes
  18. Remove from Heat and let sit for 5 Minutes
  19. Enjoy over rice!
